Multiplanar Fitness Training for the Golfer
Video
Description
Don’t Train in One Plane
.
.
Functional training programs should always be sport specific so that the body is able to meet the physical demands that is required of that sport.
.
The goal is to train and educate (or re-educate) the muscles by integrating movement patterns that mimic the golf swing.
.
In order to do this, the training program must incorporate exercises that are multi-planar, thus challenging the body through the 3 planes of motion.
1️⃣ Transverse or Rotational
2️⃣ Frontal or Lateral/Side to Side
3️⃣ Sagittal or Forward/Backward/Vertical
This training approach should be the foundation to all progressive fitness programs regardless of your sport. Some benefits include..
📍Promotes proper body mechanics
📍Improvements in balance
📍Increased coordination and control
📍Supports proper alignment and posture
📍Assists in injury prevention
