    This is a home workout version of Batista’s workout. It is modified so that all that you need is a pair of dumbbells and your body.

    Batista is a famous wrestler, bodybuilder, and actor. He’s been in the movies, House of the Rising Sun and Riddick among others. This August, he’s going to be starring as Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

    This Home Workout is setup just like Batista’s original workout.

    Monday is calves and thighs

    Wednesday is back, shoulders, and traps and

    Friday is Chest and Arms

    Max Repetitions means as many reps as you can do with good form. As soon as the form gets bad, stop the exercise.

    For these 3 workouts, you will need at least one pair of dumbbells and a pullup bar.

    Monday – Calves and Thighs
    Jump Rope (or jumping in place) 1 minute
    4 sets of MR
    One Legged Calf Raises
    One Legged Dead Lifts
    Table Makers
    Lunges
    Dumbbell Squats

    Wednesday – Back, Shoulders, and Traps
    4 sets of MR
    Pull-ups (Wide Grip)
    Chinups (Medium Grip)
    Bent Over Rows
    Lateral Raises
    Arnold Presses
    Bent Over Lateral Rows
    Shrugs

    Friday – Chest and Arms
    4 sets of MR
    Decline Pushups
    Pushups
    Floor Flyes

    3 sets of MR
    Alternating Standing Curls
    Preacher Curls
    Bodyweight Tricep Extensions
    Standing Tricep Extensions

    2 sets of MR
    Reverse Wrist Curls
    Wrist Curls
    Hanging Knee Raises
    Crunches

    As always, use proper form, and exercise caution when performing any workout routine. It is also recommended that you consult a physician before beginning any exercise program.
