Chest workouts utilize the very functional strength movement of pushing or pressing. This chest routine is to be implemented as part of a plan that is designed for working the main body parts separately, as opposed to full-body routines during a given day. Full body routines work wonders, but sometimes it’s nice to do one of two things — switch up the routine, or focus specifically on different body parts. By doing either, you’ll seldom be bored by your workouts, because you won’t be doing the same routine every day. Without tons of time, I recommend doing the full-body routines we’ve put together here at Wellki. But, if you want to really focus deeply on different parts of the body, getting the most out of your workouts, I highly recommend implementing this chest routine as part of your weight loss goals.

In regards to this workout, you’ll be doing a few different types of push ups. Plyo push ups are just like regular push ups, except you’re pushing off a flat bench (or incline bar) with your hands; almost as though you were jumping with the hands. You want to land softly, then explode yourself upwards. Blast off push ups are when you bring your body back into a position similar to a track runner’s starting pose. Then explode forward into a plank, and finish with a regular push up.
