For the last 5 years I have learned so much about what it is that i am passionate about. I love living this healthy lifestyle and even more I love being healthy. What excites me the most is sharing my knowledge and being able to help others. Watching you build confidence, follow your dreams and reach yours goals! I can relate with so many of you in so many ways. I know what it is to feel failure or wanting to give-up. To feel accomplished and excited! We all have our own life’s journey but one thing we all have in common is a choice. Its what brings you up or brings you down. One thing I do know is that you can achieve whatever it is you believe in.

I have had my share of ups and downs, overweight, too skinny (yes at one point i was way to thin) I really started my journey when I was 16. I began my first part-time job which was located right next to a gym. I didn’t hesitate to sign up because I have always been an active person my whole life! When you are young you are involved in a lot of sports or school activities or just playing random games you create with friends! As we get older our preferences change and for me that was the gym! I had to get my energy out somehow!

Just like many of you I started out not knowing anything about the gym. How to even do a proper squat. Tricep, what is that? Diet consisted of what was fast and easy, taking in no account for nutritional value or how it would effect me physically and mentally. As years went by you could find me on the treadmill or the ab machine. Health wasn’t my priority, just fitting the “standard” was. I found I started gaining weight in more areas i didn’t even know was possible. I was tired all the time, couldn’t focus, my clothes starting fitting more tight. Diet only got worse because I found the convenience of fast food…all the time! I also found a love for energy drinks. Yes, it all caught up to me. By the time I turned 21, I was considered overweight for my height and age. After going through a few depressing life situations, it caused me to really reevaluate myself as an individual. I was not happy with what I was doing to myself! I decided it was time for a change!

It was there I started digging more, researching, reading….just educating myself on what it is that I wanted. I wanted to be healthy, happy, feel good and look good. I didn’t know at the time how I would do it or how long it would take me, but giving up was not an option for me! You probably can’t tell now but I was very shy individual and would avoid anything that brought attention on me or causing me to step outside my comfort zone! People in general intimidated me! I was homeschooled from 5th grade to graduation from high school. I didn’t have a lot of social/PR skills. These were personal obstacles in my way, that prevented me from moving forward in anything. Things i wanted to overcome, so I set multiple goals for myself and guess what? I smashed those goals! Here I am today, definitely not shy, doing everything I thought was impossible for me. Even to this day I still set new challenges for myself, always thirsty for more!

One of my goals was competing! I did my first bikini competition Spring of 2013, which was such a huge accomplishment for me even if I didn’t place. Competing is not easy, it requires a lot of time, hard work and sacrifice! After my competition I became Sports Nutrition Certified. I wanted to really educate myself and help those who struggled with diet or just needed the boost into the right direction!

I love connecting with everyone I meet or work with on the daily, because we can all relate in someway. We help each other in some form or another even if we don’t know we are! I have to say the best part of my day is getting emails from my clients or fans telling me they lost a pant size, went up in weight on their squats or even did there first unassisted pull up and all because I have motivated and inspired them! It’s still so surreal to me! Being apart of helping others is rewarding in itself!

For the last 5 years, along side my fiancé’ Zach Striplin we have been proud owners of our own gym Life Altering Fitness INC in Auburn, CA. Together we share the same passion and love for this lifestyle. Our goal everyday is to help others to succeed and to make a difference in our community!

Believe in yourself enough to know that you deserve the best, to be the best!
