    My Bible Study Workout Challenge

    Video

    Description

On busy days, I find that I don’t always have much time to do a long workout or an hour of Bible study.

But since both my spiritual and physical health are priorities, I needed to find a simple way to make sure I included both of these things in my daily routine. Then, I began to notice that during breaks between sets in my workouts, I would catch myself scrolling on my phone.

Then it dawned on me: what if I combined my workout with my Bible study, working both my physical and spiritual strength at the same time? and during those 30 second rests…or while planking…how much better for me would it be to fill the breaks with the Word instead of my phone?

And so I started doing this now and then, on particularly busy days. I’m no personal trainer or professional health expert but for me personally, this has been a great, practical, at home challenge that keeps my focus on true health and stewarding my body (not obsessing over it to make it look a certain way)!

This video is just an example but you can customize your workout to focus on any body part, book of the Bible, etc!

Here’s the circuit from this CORE (Abs + Acts) CHALLENGE:

Crunches – 25 reps x 2 sets (no rest in between)

    1 Minute Plank – Read Acts 1:1-11

Russian Twists – 15 reps x 2 sets (no rest in between)

    1 Minute Rest – Read Acts 1:12-17

    Mountain Climbers – 25 reps x 2 sets (both legs = 1 rep)

    1 Minute Plank – Read Acts 1:18-26

Rest, Stretch, Pray, and Read through the full chapter 1 more time!
