Muscle for Life Success: Jean G.

    Jean’s Progress

How many months’ progress do your pictures represent? What were your stats for each picture?

The photos are taken 14 months apart. Before I weighed 133 lb and was 26% body fat. After I weighed 119 lb and was 18% body fat.

I lost 8 pounds and 5% body fat in the first 60 days.

What has happened so far on the program?

I cut the first 60 days and lost 8 pounds and 5% body fat. I pretty much ate maintenance calories the next nine months (during the winter) then cut again for another 60 days and lost another 6 pounds and 3% body fat.

My strength progressed a lot, especially in the first five months (love the newbie gains), and has continued to improve.

What workout split from the book did you use?

    I used the 5-day split.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

I was a little intimidated because I’d always done dumbbells and the high rep, low weight stuff that’s supposed to work for women. I hadn’t done much barbell work and I had never deadlifted.

For the meal plan, I was worried that it would be boring, without enough variety… I was wrong!

What do you like most about the program?

Following the program was easy and the links to the videos on how to do the exercises correctly was a huge help. Following the meal plan was much easier than I expected, too.

It’s changed the way I eat and I anticipate following it forever. It’s a change in lifestyle that has made eating more enjoyable and easier.

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

Every muscle magazine I’d ever read had a seven-day meal plan. By the time I would get done making the grocery list I’d be exhausted and quit. When I did try to get through a week I’d have all these leftover groceries going to waste.

When I tried a weight loss program where I had to weigh in, I felt like I was starving all the time and would rush to Taco Bell right after weighing in each week. None of these other programs were the lifestyle change I knew I needed to make.

Thinner Leaner Stronger workouts are different because of the heavy weights, the compound lifts, and the wait time between sets. The results are better than anything I’ve achieved on any other program.

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

My life is better than ever and I attribute most of that to what I’ve achieved with Thinner Leaner Stronger. My confidence is the highest it’s ever been. I have people ask me all the time what I do to stay in such good shape, and a lot of them are half my age.

I have more energy than ever. I’m a single mother of three teenage boys with a full time job so I need all the energy I can get. I’m more productive in all areas of my life. I’m also healthier than I’ve ever been–all my blood work numbers are excellent.

Shopping is more fun now, too. Shopping for jeans or bikinis is big fun and that was never the case before Thinner Leaner Stronger!

Who would you recommend this program to and why?

I recommend this program all the time–almost every week! Multiple friends at my gym are following Thinner Leaner Stronger and Bigger Leaner Stronger and friends I know in and out of the gym are using your meal plan service. They’re all doing it for the same reason I recommend it… you get results.

Women are conditioned to think lifting heavy is too hard and will make them look bulky, but I get compliments on my arms from women all the time. There’s no question, based on the feedback I get, that strong is sexy in women and men.

I recommend the meal plan service to everyone who asks me how I achieved the results I have. Nutrition is such a huge part of looking good and it’s left out of so many fitness programs. Your meal plan service makes it easy and it works!

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

I’ll say this: “just do it!” You just need to start, don’t wait. Every day you wait is a day you’re missing out on a better life.

Remember to take photos and measurements along the way–the progress happens so fast and you’ll want to look back on how far you’ve come.

I’d also recommend your podcast and website. You provide such a huge amount of valuable content for free–anyone can become educated with what you provide. The podcast is a great motivator, too. The Motivation Monday episodes are awesome!

Did you use any Legion supplements?

I use Legion supplements exclusively. I use Pulse, Forge, Recharge, Whey+, Triumph, and Fortify. I use Phoenix when I’m cutting.

I had never used supplements before Thinner Leaner Stronger. I was skeptical of the supplement industry. I didn’t believe the claims the companies made and I didn’t trust that the products were safe.

I used Legion products because you disclose all the ingredients (no proprietary blends) and explain what they do. What you say about the Legion products are true. My workouts are better, my recovery is faster, and I don’t suffer from being jittery or crashes.
