    How does your body react to aerobic exercise?
    During aerobic activity, you constantly move the big muscles of your arms, legs and hips. You will notice your body’s responses quickly.

    You will breathe faster and deeper. This maximizes the amount of oxygen in your blood. Your heart will beat faster, which increases blood flow to your muscles and again to the lungs.

    Small blood vessels (capillaries) will expand to give more oxygen to your muscles and carry away waste products, such as carbon dioxide and lactic acid.

    Your body will also release endorphins, natural medicines that promote a better sense of well-being.
