    you CAN build muscle with just one exercise per MUSCLE, not bodypart, (example your back is a bodypart, but it is divided into many major muscles) , providing it is an optimal exercise as far as muscle fiber recruitment. example squats for legs, chins for lats, rows for mid back, dips for triceps etc. but that doesn’t mean you should only perform one exercise for the rest of your life. after you reach a certain level of muscle maturity, you might need different movements to stimulate the muscle from a different angle (example incline presses for upper chest, dips or decline for lower pecs etc). if you’re a beginner, stick to just one or two. the more advanced you are, the more exercises you can and should throw in.
